Medical entrance exam goes biometric to stop imposters

JIPMER Entrance Exam 2011 authority will introduce a biometric device first time in its history on Sunday to keep check on malpractice. The device named AuthenTrac equivalent to a TV remote is size is able to capture and store the finger prints and photographs (images). It is noted that JIPMER is one of the top notch medical colleges in India, conducting medical entrance examination for 15000 applicants nationwide.

The AuthenTrac developed by a by Bangalore-based testing and skills assessment company MeritTrac.
