Google receives 75000 Resumes

San Francisco: Google, the IT Technologies giant received 75000 job applications from different corners of globe. Google made announcements last week for recruiting more than 6000 employees worldwide this year. Google stepping into display advertising, mobile services and Internet applications, it’s obvious that company needs more people to boost Google penetration in the market. Also Google facing tough competition from its rivals like Apple, Facebook, Microsoft and Yahoo.

"We're looking for top talent," Alan Eustace, senior vice president of engineering and research," said last week in a blog posting. "We'll hire as many smart, creative people as we can to tackle some of the toughest challenges in computer science: like building a Web-based operating system from scratch, instantly searching an index of more than 100 million gigabytes and even developing cars that drive themselves."

Google ranked No. 4 by Fortune Magazine as most desirable place to work in Silicon Valley.
